Over the last period I have build the engine shroud, from laser-cut parts. This worked fine,
except that I had to re-design the part which connects to the oil cooler, as I am using a R-22 standard
cooler.
All The frame was sand blasted, and then primed and painted in the final base color,
together with all lose aluminium parts like the tanks, oil sump, and all parts of the engine shroud.
I then, at the last moment, decided to install (weld) the optional hard point for a hook. Should have done that before painting huh?
Then I could do the final install and rivetting of the cabin. Next, painting the cabin...
